Dear Mr. Tackett,

I would like to take a moment to thank you and Mr. Fred Potter for you kindness to others.  It takes a special kind of person to think of other people’s needs.

The gifts that you brought to the center today (chicken, meal, flour, salad mix, pop, and blankets) provided for many families today, and they are very grateful.

As you know Mullins is one of the largest Elementary in the county.  The enrollment is near 600.  Our free lunch count is 69% of that count.  I alone serve 333 families.  So as you can see the need here is great.

I would greatly appreciate any donations of food and basic needs that you may be able to provide in the future.  As a Family Resource Director I can assure you that the families with the greatest need will be served first.  It is my hope that no child in my school will go to bed hungry.

Sincerely

MR. TACKETT,

I WOULD LIKE TO TAKE THIS TIME TO THANK YOU FOR BRINGING FOOD AND BLANKETS TO OUR SCHOOL.

THE NEED IN THIS AREA JUST KEEPS GETTING LARGER AS THE UNEMPLOYMENT IS ON THE RISE.  AND THE SAD PART OF IT IS THAT OUR CHILDREN HAVE TO SUFFER.

BUT THANKS TO YOU AND PEOPLE LIKE PREACHER POTTER THEY ARE SUPPLIED WITH EVERY DAY NEEDS.

BEFORE I CLOSE I WOULD LIKE TO TELL YOU ABOUT A CHILD THAT RECEIVED A BLANKET.  WE WERE DOING EYE EXAMS AND THE CHILD SEEN THE BLANKETS BEING CARRIED IN AND HE SAID TO ME THAT HE COULD DO WITHOUT GLASSES IF HE COULD HAVE A BLANKET.  BECAUSE HE GOT SO COLD AT HIS HOUSE BECAUSE HE ONLY HAD A SHEET.  THAT IS WHEN I BEGAN TO CRY.  I COULD NOT BELIEVE MY EARS.

SO IN CLOSING I WANT YOU BOTH TO KNOW WE ARE SO GRATEFUL TO YOU FOR HELPING US.

MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS.

PAT MAY
